You provide a nice counter-point to what I've been writing today (and hope to get out sometime tonight or tomorrow... should I be up to it, not being in the best of health). Agreed, there are "bad apples" in every political party/movement on the planet, and BC seems to have had more than its fair share... then again, given what's across the border, in terms of its insatiable appetite for the forbidden, the temptation is understandable.

I admit that as a historian, I have a soft spot for Abelardo Rodriguez... a crook "mostly on the side of the little people". He apparently always felt inadequate for his lack of formal education, and shook down the narcotics smugglers -- and during US Prohibition, liquor (an informal "export duty") to finance expanded public education, including founding the University of Baja California and involved in financing other state universities.

Oh wow. Firstly, what a post today. And I didn't know that about Salinas possibly calling for the execution. He certainly skipped out at the right time, now happily in, is it, Ireland? with oodles of $. I recall his brother died in prison. The info about the Arrellano Felix bros. was very interesting. I learned most of what I know about them from the Nflx series. It seemed accurate, do you think it was?
